Constantine [Blu-ray] [Canadian]This one's good all the way up to the ending, which is less than impressive. CGI effects usually annoy me, but they worked in this one. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ConstantineI think the movie was thrilling and that I would reffer it to people who didn't believe in God it will show them all the tricks of the devil and make them want ot turn another path Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ConstantineStrengths: Outstanding FX, intriguing storyline Weakness: Keanu Reeves' character is rather limp I bought this due to the TV trailers I had seen. I was more than happy I did! While it seemed that this was a 'Part II' movie, and that I needed to see 'Part I' to get all the story behind it, it held my interest very well. The special effects are TOTALLY AWESOME, and MORE than made up for Keanu's weak character. His part MIGHT have made more sense, if the reasons for his attitude was explained at all. Constantine [Blu-ray] [Canadian]I've recently rented this and it was pretty good. I enjoyed the different concept and the twists and turns kept my attention. If nothing else the special effects are worth watching. It was an interesting movie and a sequel would be kinda cool. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Constantine [Blu-ray] [Canadian]Ted Logan esquire did an ok job in this, every movie I keep waiting for the air guitar bit. The story is kind of weak but then premise is interesting. The effects are ok but nothing to get to excited about. The movie keeps moving and it will keep you involved. Dependin on the box office you can probably expect a sequal. Constantine [Blu-ray] [Canadian]Visually, very exciting. I stuck with it to the end. the bizarre theology, not even sure where they or the comic book writers came up with this, was very annoying. That's why it only gets 2 stars from me. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Constantine [Blu-ray] [Canadian]Basically we have "The Exorcist" meets "Rosemary's Baby". If you enjoy special effects at the expense of character development and plot, by all means - indulge yourself. Personally, I found this about as interesting as a trip through a meat packing plant on a golf cart going 120 miles per as I'm paging through a comic book of the Gospels according to the mentally deranged. But, I won't go there since there isn't enough space on this page to cover the pathetic use and abuse of theology. I'll just sum up by saying; not funny, not frightening - just near sited, ill informed and very, very dumb. I'll hand it to Reeves though; he apparently stays on top of the acting game just enough to get first choice at the high budget glitz - wherein his only requirement is to storm around like a male model with an inflamed hemorrhoid spouting what might pass as witty one liners - provided you are still in high school. It would appear that the formula is; throw in enough special effects as camouflage and anyone can look like an actor. Sadly, and for reasons I can no longer remember, I gave him a bit more credit than that. Up until now. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Constantine [Blu-ray] [Canadian]I actually give this movie 3 & 1/2 stars. Visually, this movie draws you in. It has great cinematography, an interesting casts, and great visual effects. I was really drawn in from the beginning to the middle of the film. Then, they lost me. I wasn't bothered by the fact that the archangel, Gabriel is a female, half-breed human/angel. What bothered me is the fact that Gabriel was the one who plotted to bring the anti-Christ into the world. However, there's a bigger twist. Lucifer becomes the hero and foils the plans of his son's (the anti-christ) pact with Gabriel. Then, God becomes displeased with Gabriel and burns off her wings. Huh????????????????? The other problem with this film was it's plot development. We got to know Constantine and even the woman he helped. However, we really don't get to know much about the "world" that he sees. I have become a Keanu Reeves fan, not only because of his acting skills, but for the scripts he chooses. The Matrix Trilogy and the Devil's Advocate, for example. Both of these movies, though dealing with a world we cannot see, explained them thoroughly. Don't get me wrong, Constantine has a good story, however some changes should've been made in the script, and I could only wish Reeves would've opted for changes in the script upon accepting the role.
