This movie is a classic for a reason. Its a great movie with good acting and flow. I do, however, like the Dirty Dancing Havana Nights movie a lot better. I suggest, especially if you liked the first one, that you see the sequel as well.

i hate this movie it is the worst thing to every hit the screen i would rather have my toe nails ripped out one by one than see that movie. i swear to god if i had the power to abolish this movie from time constrants i would. to be honest midevil torture would be mor pleassurefull than this god dam movie

I liked the movie but if you think about it, in the future I highly doubt there will be much dancing for these two, they will have about 3-4 children, he will go around dancing for money, sleeping with more rich women to make an extra 100 a night, she will be at home without the father's monitary assistance because he didn't want her to marry the guy. Pretty soon they will forget all about the lovely dance in that Hotel, life will pass by so quickly that soon their kids grow up and they stop, look around and ask "what happened?" And then they can barely stand to talk to each other because they haven't truly seen each other their whole lives while they were just trying to survive. Maybe I am wrong, but this is just how I percieve the future for them to be.

The dancing in this movie is wonderful. My favorite art is he end when Johnny and Baby are dancing. The music is also great. The movies theme is also very good.

ok..dirty dancin isnt a musical..but a great dance movie thats for sure. my grandma was the first one who introduced me to the movie when i was 3..to this day i kno evey word, and dance in that film. still a classic to me! now i can obsess over dirty dancin havana nites..all i hav to say is DIEGO LUNA!!

Great 80's sleeze! Patrick is a dancer (ballet and all) he had some great moves here. Reminds me of 7th grade dances...What a rush. Jennifer did a wonderful job as well. Really cute movie. Puts you back to being about 17 years young when you watch it. I love that part as well!

I personally think this movie is great. It is the classic good girl falls for bad boy and they parents hate it. Dancing is a big part of this movie but i believe that the basic movie has a much larger setting than that. It deals with coming to understand ones self and how someone could change so easily and is not always what people think.

This movie is the best. It always reminds me of my best friend b/c Time of my Life is our song from cheerleading. Whenever we get into a fight listening to that song or seeing the movie always brings us back together.

It's amazing this insignificant, low-budget piece of crap garnered the following it did, seeing that it's one of the worst films ever puked out by Hollywood. Starring unctuous P. Swayze, a clubfooted hoofer in need of acting lessions and pinchfaced little trollop Jennifer Grey, nice body, honker and all. The best thing about this turkey is the fact that it takes place in the Borscht Belt, oy vey, which harkens back to childhood memories in my long-distant past. Even the dancing, the supposed strong suit of this attempt at making a movie, was predictable and hardly impressive. What would have made this a better movie is if Grey did about fifteen nude scenes: this would have kept me from nodding off every five minutes or so. Cousin Brucie Morrow's favorite flick, and that tells you plenty.

Watching Patrick Swayze in anything is a bit of an ordeal for me, but Jennifer Grey is cute and the story and music are both decent, so I can't totally dis the film because of him.

I think that this movie was definately overrated, but it was still good. Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze were both good in their lead roles, and the plot was solid. Not to mention some fantastic dancing scenes, espescially at the end.

Great movie with some good dancing. I liked the plotline about a 17 year old and her family at a vacation resort. "baby" meets Johnny a dance instructor. Alot of good music. Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze were both good as the leads. I was surprised to see how good of a dancer Parick Swayze was.An enjoyable movie.

The excellent soundtrack will get you through this otherwise extremly trashy musical. Jennifer Gray plays a young adult at a country club where she meets a famous dancer, played by Patrick Swazee. They eventully fall in love, and they become dancers together. But, her father doesn't approve of his type, and he doesn everything to ruin their relationship, although her mother thinks it's a wonderful idea.

Nothing about this movie was unique except for Jennifer Grey and Pat Swayze. I thoroughly enjoy it because of the lovable songs and my ability to identify with Baby's struggling, fantasies and triumphs.

Every teenage girl who's ever taken a dance class probably knows every word to this fine 80's classic. Patrick Swayze proves to be a triple threat (surprisingly) and Jennifer Gray is stunning in pre-nose job form. The dance is super-80's, the acting hyper romantic and the campy dialogue doesn't stop and yet you'll still find yourself with the chills when Swayze slyly demands, "Nobody puts Baby in the corner."

The best coming of age story about a young girl who falls in love with a "rebel" who is against everything that had been part of her world before she met him. The dancing gives the story a great twist, to show how the love between Johnny and Baby develops. It adds a sensual quality to the movie and concludes with a major dance scene that brings everything together.

Every girl I know who is my age, watched this movie religiously at sleepovers. It's the best childhood nastoliga I know of. It's cornball plot, ending with the dance where Baby struts her stuff was so cool then, and notorious now. It's fun and you can sing along with all the songs.

I find myself watching this film every single time that it is on TV and enjoying it each time. Maybe that makes me Swayze crazy, but if the shoe fits... Everyone agrees that Swayze and Grey are both really good, but Jerry Ohrbach is also great as Baby's father who is struggling with some of the decisions made by his younger daughter. Strong soundtrack, as well, even the song sung by Swayze himself.

This movie is timeless! The charachters steal you heart every time. I don't think there is a love story that has been made since Dirty Dancing that is tasteful enough to share with you sixth grader! I often wonder what happened to Baby and her first love!

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner!" That's one of those classic lines that shohuld be saved in a time capsule. Our descendents will take a look at Grey and Swayze practicing their dancing in the water, and they will understand what it was like to be young in 1987 and thoroughly SWAYZE CRAZY.

Nothing beats the 'Dirty Dancing' soundtrack. The only thing I don't like is they didn't include the Spanish song that was playing when "Baby" did her first dance.
