Classic

Strengths: Great view for everyone

Weakness: None

This is a classic movie. This came out before I was born and I have probably seen it 10 times. Great lines such as Wax on, Wax off. Must see for all movie lovers across the world.

The Karate Kid [Blu-ray] [Canadian] [1997] [1 disc]...

I watched this rather typical teen exploitation film on TV at a friends house only recently. It starts out pretty cool, but by the time we see the kid doing the crane thing (I can't help wondering how many takes it took to get one where he didn't fall down) and taking the grand prize in his very first match (puhleeeease!) the spell was broken.

The Karate Kid [Blu-ray] [Canadian] [1997] [1 disc]...

The Karate Kid is a 1980's film that deals with self-defense and karate. Pat Morite plays his usual smart and great self, as he trains a young boy to raise his feelings and get everything out into the air, and fight for himself.

This movie showed the rough times going through high school. Many people can relate to this. However, not everyone can do the karate moves.

The Karate Kid [Blu-ray] [Canadian] [1997] [1 disc]...

A very good movie for children. It encourages children to become strong and self-reliant. It teaches values. It promotes ideas of success through behaving honorably.

The Karate Kid [Blu-ray] [Canadian] [1997] [1 disc]...

Yes, it was a cheesy 80's movie, but it was definitely a classic and one of those movies you saw for the first time in your pre-adolescent years. Every girl had a crush on Ralph Macchio after that movie. What a fantastic competition scene.

The Karate Kid [Blu-ray] [Canadian] [1997] [1 disc]...

It's an OK movie, a good movie to pass time away. If you really aren't into karate then I say don't watch the film. Karate Kid II that's gool, but the first one had more action in it. The guy is cute.

I love karate. I am a martial artist myself. I like Daniel-son. He can give a damn good crane kick.

Ralph Macchio kicks all kinds of 80's ass. Also, Mr. Miyagi played an integral role in the acceptance of asians in society today.

The Karate Kid [Blu-ray] [Canadian] [1997] [1 disc]...

The movie featured hokie, show-biz karate by both Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita. However, the teacher-student relationship was very interesting. This especially carried over into Karate Kid II, where we saw the Okinawan setting.

Nothing beats watching 30+-year-old bad actors portraying teenagers in horrible movies.

The Karate Kid [Blu-ray] [Canadian] [1997] [1 disc]...

I admit I enjoyed this movie when it first came out, but how incredibly goofy is Ralph Macchio? It's hard to take Ralph seriously as a big-time karate guy when he's built like a weeble-wobble: wider at the waist than he is at the shoulders. My sister could beat up Ralph Macchio, crane technique or no crane technique. Still, Karate Kid tells a good story, and Pat Morita is great as Mr. Miyagi.
