One Savage JourneyStrengths: Great acting all around, Great direction by Terry Gilliam, and one funny movie. Weakness: Film is a tad too long for its own good. Terry Gilliam's 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' is one wild journey to the heart of the American Dream. The film is very enjoyable to watch but suddenly in the middle it drags on a little. The movie is just fun to watch, and very creative. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Visually creative, but also aimless, repetitve, and devoid of character development. Top

Fear and Loathing
Strengths: Character portrayl. Realism. Introspection.
Weakness: Book was in two distinct chapters but movie never relates to the viewer that this is the case. Hence the middle of the movie doesn't quite make sense.
Excellent satire of two deranged men looking to morph from the the drug crazed era of the sixties to what they perceive as the responsibility of the early seventies. They do so with many outlandish drugs, brilliant introspection and bizarre events that they come across. They viewer feels when the movie is over that although much was thought about during the movie, only a little clarity came from this drug addled tour of the early '70's Las Vegas strip. Excellent, entertaining movie for those who have an open mind.
