Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black...I give it a 4.5. Its an interesting Disney movie based off the famous DisneyLand attraction. Johnny Depp was great as Jack Sparrow, a pirate who wants to get his ship back from Barbossa, a pirate whos under a curse along with his crew. They are searching for the last pieces of the aztec gold. Overall its pretty good with the only complaint of being a bit overlong. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black...Awesome flick! especially "Dead Man's Chest!" Johnny Depp is an awesome actor. the perfect one to play Jack Sparrow, the smart-aleck , but humourous and lovable pirate. He should receive an oscar or some other award for this. Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom were great in their supporting roles. I can't wait until "Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End" is released next year! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black...i personally found this to be a great film. sure it may not have the deep soulful meaning of some movies, but c'mon. it's a pirate film. and when compared to that category, i thought it to be quite good. i might have made sparrow a little less... femanine, had i directed it myself, but it's johnny depp. and i couldn't see anyone else playing that role. so i guess in all, i've got not complaints with this film. i actually enjoyed it and it's sequel. The only redeaming thing about this flick was Keiria Knightly, and not because of her acting! While the script was okay, it just somehow fails to be memorable. Pirate movies ROCK!!Some of my favorite actors and actresses are in this movie. I love the pirate theme. This movie has great visuals and storyline. It also has suspense in some areas. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black...Good quality easy on the brain fun. Much as I respect Depp's acting ability I cant figure out what accent he was trying to do. Normally his English accents are spot on. The one weak link in the film is Keira Knightly IMO. She hasnt got the charisma or sex appeal of Angelina Jolie to be able to take on leading roles. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black...Incredibly well made. Geffory Rush and Johnny Deep are both subperb in this. The story is interesting and isn't predictable and the special effect were awesome. (I could go on at how great this movie was or what was great about it but that would take all night!) One of the greatest movies of all time. Definatly up there with Star War and Raiders of The Lost Ark. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black...Strengths: very funny, excelent choice of actors and actresses, great costumes and make up, battle scenes were fabulous. there is nothing more to say it was so well done that it kept you wanting more Weakness: i dont think there were TO START WITH JONNY DEPP DID ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANTLY WITH JACK SPARROW. 1 HE PLAYED THE DRUNK PARTS AND GOT THE COMPLICATED PHRASES PERFECT. HIS FACIAL EXPRESSIONS MADE IT HUMOUROUS. ORLANDO BLOOM, WELL WHAT CAN I SAY HE DID VERY WELL IN THIS PART AND WAS SOOOOO HANDSOME THROUGHOUT THE MOVIE. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black...Pirates of the Caribbean was one of the best action and adventure movies out there! I highly recommend this movie because of its thrilling setting, awesome actors and actresses (especially Johnny Depp), and the whole theme will blow you away. Johnny Depp did a fantastic job and no one could have done better. Orlando and Keira were amazing also; their charaters were very alike the real pirates back in the day, and Gore was great at directing. Go buy Pirates of the Caribbean! Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black...I don't know about a lot of other people, but I'm not very into pirates. I never saw previews for the movie or anything! My friend invited me to see it and I was thinking, "eww, why would I want to see a pirate movie?" I went with just because I didn't want to stay home alone. After I got out, I was in love and saw it again and bought the DVD! Then, I remembered that one of the best rides was made after it, too! The cast, setting, everything was wonderful! I really think that you should go see it. Just to let you know, the beginning is a little boring, but you'll hopefully like it. There are a few scarier scenes, but nothing to worry so much about!!! The vhs is a good production of the Pirates of the Caribbean and it isn't choppy or fuzzy at all. The sound quality is superior and is crisp and clear. Overall it's really great.
