Great ice cream maker

Strengths: Very easy to use.

Weakness: Noisy.

I purchased this machine to make "Wow Cow" frozen dessert at home. It is so easy to make. I prepare enough mix for a week and keep it in the refrigerator until needed. I just pour in the mix and turn on the machine. It takes one hour to make 1.5 quarts.
The machine is a little noisy, but I just moved it.

Cuisinart ICE-50BC Supreme Commercial Quality Ice...

Strengths: Ease of use. Quality of finished product.

Weakness: Ingredients must be assembled before putting in machine.

I understood this machine was fully automatic, but all the ingredients have to be assembled beforehand and then cooled and put in the machine. Though this is a bit more work, it is worth it, because the ice cream was most delicious...in fact, the best I've ever eaten. Although the machine was reported to be noisy, I didn't find it bothersome.

Works Well-Doesn't Make Much Ice Cream

Strengths: Works well and pretty fast. Turn it on and it takes care of itself until it's finished.

Weakness: Really heavy. It's not the easiest to get it set up.

The first thing I noticed when I lifted the ice cream maker out of the box is that it's really heavy. My wife can hardly pick the thing up. Next, trying to get the mixing paddle hooked to the drive arm is not easy to do. I had to turn it on and off several times until I finally got it right. All that said, after I got it in place and finally got the paddle connected, it worked great. No problems. It runs itself. I was surprised at the small quantity that it make. It really only makes enough to feed 4 or 5 people in one batch, so, don't expect to use it for a party or the kids will kill you waiting for the next batch to get done.
