Born on the Fourth of JulyAN AMAZING story of the impact vietnam had on this country. It shows the terrible true of how One mans Experience, that changed him, his friends, and his family. Absolutly compelling;an amazing job by oliver stone. Tom Cruise was teriffic!

Born on the Fourth of JulyThis is one seriously good movie because for me it prooves to people how much of an under-rated actor Tom Cruise really is. For those of you that think hes just a "celebrity" and can't act I'd advise you to watch this movie and see if you have the same opinion after.

Born on the Fourth of JulyAs his character ages from high school age through adulthood, Tom Cruise is great in this movie. Watching this movie, I couldn't believe the conditions at the VA hospitals and how much the Vietnam vets were hated when they returned. This movie had a great impact on the univerally positive reception that the U.S. troops received upon their return from the Persian Gulf. Advertisement

I went to this movie prepared to bash Cruise. . .I didn't think a pretty-boy actor could pull off such a difficult role. I was wrong. . .a solid movie.
