Items In Movies You Might Be Interested InProduct Details of The Mummy ReturnsDescription Flanked by fabulous computer-generated battle scenes that would make BRAVEHEART proud, THE MUMMY RETURNS is a fast-paced sequel that surpasses the hit 1999 original, both directed by Stephen Sommers. Virtually the entire cast has come back for another exciting go-round, this time trying to prevent Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo) from gaining control of the Bracelet of Anubis and taking on the Scorpion King (the Rock) for control of the world. But to gain that power, Imhotep and his vicious true love, Anck-Su-Namun (Patricia Velasquez), must get to the Oasis of Ahm Shere before Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser), his wife, Evie (Rachel Weisz), their son, Alex (Freddie Boath), the mysterious Ardeth Bay (Oded Fehr), and Evie's brother, Jonathan (John Hannah, who provides much of the comic relief). Set in 1933, THE MUMMY RETURNS combines elements of the STAR WARS and INDIANA JONES films in letting loose a scintillating thrill-ride of a movie, chock-full of terrific special effects and marvelous locations (Morocco, Jordan, and London), erupting in a spirited tale of flight and fantasy, sword and sorcery. The addition of Freddie Boath to the cast increases the suspense as well as the comedy; his scenes with the evil Lock-Nah (fiercely played by OZ veteran Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) are among the best in the film. THE MUMMY RETURNS also features professional wrestler the Rock as the Scorpion King, who was defeated in 3067 BC and is ready to be resurrected in the Year of the Scorpion. For All History and Mummy lovers!!Strengths: Plot, suspense The characters in this movie did a great job expressing their emotions. It was a fun and intense movie. This movie may scare younger children, so be careful. I've watched it about 3 times and still I'm interested.

The Mummy ReturnsI liked most of it. Imhotep was always my favorite villian and I was disappointed that he was made more wimpy near the end of the movie. And making Anck-su-namun a coward and leave her love to die was a freaking lame lame choice. Anck-su-namun killed her self in the last movie to save Imhotep with out ANY hesitation so why was she such a wuss in this one. Their love deserved so much more respect....

The Mummy ReturnsI never cared for this movie. I think it has nice effects but I feel it was way over the top. Brendan Fraser did an okay job but will not knock you out of your socks. I was actually pleasently surprised about Dwayne Johnson's (The Rock) performance. He did pretty good. But I just did not care for this movie at all.

The Mummy Returns"The Mummy" is a film. Plenty of decent action scenes and comedic relief at appropriate points. Solid performances by all parties involved. Generally thrilling and entertaining, fully maintaining the attention of the viewer from beginning to end.

The Mummy ReturnsNot as good as the first one, but still scary at times. Kept me one the edge of my seat till the end of it (or in the arms of my boyfriend) either one works:) Brenden and Rachel did a good job. I don't see how the Scorpian King got into it, but hey, whatever works.

The Mummy Returns
"The Mummy" films don't really do it for me. This one had good epecial effects, but it was a blatent "Raiders of the Lost Ark" ripoff, and Frazier is pretty friggin annoying in these films (although he's good in others, such as "Bedazzled"). Worth a look but not worth owning.
